What Makes It The Good Stuff?
Our kits feature procion fiber-reactive dyes—the same type responsible for the brilliant, eye-catching colors found in tie-dyed shirts sold at street fairs and concerts. These dyes deliver vibrant, permanent colors that resist fading, even after repeated washings. Unlike the cheap supermarket and craft store dyes, which often produce dull and inconsistent results that fade quickly, the dyes in our kits penetrate fabrics deeply for unmatched vibrancy and durability. Economical, safe, and eco-friendly, they make every project a masterpiece.
With these dyes, you’re not just getting good results—you’re getting The Good Stuff!Cotton or Rayon Material
For the best results, it’s important to choose the right materials. Using 100% cotton or 100% rayon will ensure that your colors turn out bright and vibrant. These natural fibers are more absorbent and hold the dye better, allowing for more vivid and long-lasting designs. Although using a cotton/ polyester blend may still work, the colors will appear more faded. The synthetic fibers in polyester do not absorb the dye, resulting in less intensity. The higher the cotton or rayon content in your fabric, the more stunning and vibrant your tie-dye creations will be.

Additional Items Needed
In addition to the items included in your Good Stuff Tie Dye Kit you will need:
- Cotton or Rayon item(s) to dye
- Something to mix your Soda Ash Dye fixer in where you will pre-soak your item(s). A 2-gallon bucket or tub is recommended.
- Distilled water for mixing the dye.
- Something to hold your item(s) while applying the dye and to contain excess dye, like paper or plastic plates.
- A flat non-porous table (plastic or sealed surface). Covering the table with plastic makes for easy clean up. A plastic garbage bag or plastic wrap taped down to the table will work if you don’t have a plastic tablecloth.
- A source of wash water is a good idea. A utility sink works well but if that’s not available then a hose or gallon jug of water can be used.
- Extra rags or paper towels to wipe up any spills.
- Plastic grocery bags are useful for curing your tie dye creation(s).
