Each spiral is created by spinning the shirt before applying your chosen colors, allowing the pattern to bloom outward in a bold, vibrant swirl. Because every shirt is dyed by hand, no two spirals will ever look exactly alike — that’s part of the magic.

Made Just for You: Each shirt is handcrafted to order, which means the piece you receive will be uniquely yours. You’re selecting the colors you love, and we’ll tie‑dye your shirt to match that look — but it won’t be an exact replica of the photo. Variations are part of the charm of handmade tie‑dye work, ensuring every shirt has its own one‑of‑a‑kind character.
Spiral Placement: For Classic Spirals, the design will begin at the center of the chest unless you request a different placement. If you’d like the spiral to start off‑center or in another location, just let us know in the color box or submit your request in the Contact Us form.

Saturation: Unless you tell us otherwise, all shirts are made with full saturation — meaning the colors will be rich and vibrant with little to no white showing. If you prefer more white space in your design, just let us know you’d like partial saturation when you list your colors. (If red and blue are chosen, please specify partial saturation if you want red, white and blue.)
Captain Tie Dye will contact you to confirm your color plan before dyeing your shirt, ensuring your custom piece turns out exactly the way you imagine.
