Tie Dye Lead Time

Captain Tie Dye creates each colorful masterpiece by hand — one swirl, one shirt, one “oh, that actually looks amazing” moment at a time. Custom tie dye orders usually take 3–4 days to make, plus 2–8 days for shipping. During holidays or other peak chaos, things may take a little longer (even Captain Tie Dye needs snacks and hydration breaks).

Engraving Lead Time

Every engraving is crafted individually in the Engraving Shed — where creativity, lasers, and the occasional “talking to the machine like it’s a coworker” moment all come together. Custom engraved orders typically take 3–5 days, plus 2–8 days for shipping, depending on the item and the graphics you choose. During holidays or peak “everyone suddenly needs a gift” season, lead times may stretch a bit.

These are the Tiny but Mighty Details — the little nuggets of info that make everything smoother, clearer, and occasionally more entertaining. Think of this as the drawer where we keep all the helpful bits that don’t fit anywhere else but still deserve a spotlight.

Sizing Reality Check

Why do tie dye sizes vary a little? We use the same brands for our blanks 99% of the time, and Captain Tie Dye pre‑washes all white garments in warm water and dries them hot before the magic begins. That means most shrinkage happens before the dye ever touches the fabric. After dyeing, each piece gets several rounds of rinsing, washing, and one more hot‑dryer session to set the color. So while sizes stay pretty consistent, a tiny bit of variation is normal — it’s part of the charm of handmade tie dye. (One exception: our rayon dresses get washed cold and hung to dry, because they’re fancy like that.)

Colorful and Cute

Why might my tie dye look a little different than the photo? Because every piece is made by human hands, not robots. Colors stay true, but patterns have minds of their own — in a charming, one‑of‑a‑kind way.

Why does the checkout show a random country code? Because the phone field is an overachiever and starts at the top of the alphabet. Just tap the flag and switch it to the U.S. — then your number will be accepted normally.

How do I know my order went through? You’ll get an email confirmation as soon as your order starts its journey. If you don’t see it, check your spam folder — sometimes emails like to go sightseeing.

How fast do you reply? We try to respond as quickly as possible, usually within a day. If we’re slow, it’s because Captain Tie Dye is elbow‑deep in color or the laser is being dramatic again.

Tax Time Twist

Why is the sales tax 7.6%? Arizona likes to keep things interesting — online orders use the seller’s tax rate, not the buyer’s. Since our home base is Bullhead City, all Arizona orders get the Bullhead 7.6% rate. A small hometown hug from us to you.

Gift Goodies

Can you leave out the receipt? Absolutely. We never include pricing in the package — just the colorful or engraved goodness inside.

Why does shipping sometimes take longer than expected? Because once your package leaves the Engraving Shed or the Tie Dye Studio, it enters the mystical realm of postal adventures. We’ll send tracking so you can follow along.

Tracking Treasure Hunt

When will I get my tracking number? As soon as your order ships, you’ll get a tracking link so you can follow its adventure. Some carriers update slowly at first, so don’t panic if it looks like your package is “waiting for its moment.” It’ll show movement soon.

Delivery Day Drama

Most orders arrive right on schedule — 2–5 days for Standard, 1–3 for Priority. But once in a while, a package drifts into the Twilight Zone, where time bends, geography gets creative, and Bullhead shipments mysteriously detour through Indiana and Ohio before looping back to Arizona and finally wandering into California. If your order pulls a similar stunt, just know it’s out there having an adventure — and it will find its way home.
